The purpose of this society is to help undergraduate students explore the possibility of a legal career, provide support for members during their law school application process, and create a supportive community for all pre-law students at the University of Washington.
WHO ARE WE?
Pre-Law Society (PLS) is a registered student organization (RSO) at the University of Washington, Seattle. As an organization, our goal is to help undergraduate students explore the possibility of a legal career with other individuals who have the same interests. Whether you’re just starting to consider law school or have always known you wanted a degree in law, PLS has something for everyone.
PURPOSE
As a member, you not only enjoy the above offerings, but you also get to interact with students who have the same interests, passions, and desires as you. No matter where you are in the law school process – exploring, applying, or accepted – there are people for you to talk to and get to know at PLS.
Some of PLS’ offerings for students include:
-
Various speakers including lawyers, law professors, deans of admission, law school representatives, current law school students, judges, advisors, etc. with Q&A sessions
-
Partnerships with various LSAT companies that come in to explain the LSAT, talk about admissions, and offer discounts to registered PLS members
-
Scholarship opportunities for members interested in LSAT courses
-
Networking with professionals in the legal field
-
A wealth of resources regarding different law schools, the admissions process, LSAT, advising, etc.
